3 Fun Halloween Things Worth Doing in Georgetown

It’s the spookiest time of the year and we know you want to make the most of it by treating yourself to a good time this Halloween. We’ve made a short and easy list of Halloween things to do in Georgetown after you’ve stopped by the Bakeree at 74 Lucile St to pick up your favorite weed treats. There’s only two weeks left to figure out your plans and we’re here to help.

1. Georgetown Morgue Haunted House – Various Dates

The Morgue haunted house in Georgetown is a staple for a reason. It comes with a dark history (no really—look up ‘Seattle Crematorium Massacre) that’s been built upon to create a very tangible terror to walk through. This experience is one for the thrill seekers looking for a good fright as you pass through the dark and demented setup at The Morgue at 5000 E Marginal Way. The Morgue has been an institution in the neighborhood for years and with good reason—they do Halloween right. Perfect for grabbing a group of friends and getting your scream on before hitting the bars around Georgetown for awesome food and scary good drinks. Tickets depend on whether your solo or a part of a group and how quickly you want to cut through the line. Check out the dates and time by visiting their site here!

2. Slim’s Last Chance – Local Music Oct. 28th @ 8pm

Heebie Jeebies, Filthy Traitors, and Zooma Bella will be playing at Slim's Last Chance in Georgetown on October 28th, 2022. Dive bar shows are a great option to go out and enjoy yourself while checking out some local music and avoiding the massive crowds that come with big production shows on Halloween weekend. Slim’s Last Chance is an iconic dive bar in Georgetown that features colorful regulars and a fenced outdoor area with a stage for the artists to perform. The pours are hearty, and bartenders are friendly enough to not mind if you smell a little skunky. Tickets are only $10 so for all of you looking to enjoy yourself without breaking the bank, this is the option for you. Spy more details by visiting their event page here.

3. Seattle Day of the Dead Catrinas Festival at Club Sur – Various Dates

From Oct. 26th – Nov. 2nd Club Sur in SoDo is hosting the Puget Sound’s largest Day of the Dead celebration. Though it is an all-ages event including face painting, crafts, and other feasts for your eyes, after 9 p.m. the kids go home, and the concert line up starts. This is certainly the most bright and festive of the options on this list with a favor of celebration over the thrill of the fright. During the day people are encouraged to bring flowers and little gifts to leave in honor of the dead. See more information about the event as well as ticket info by clicking here.
