2023, the year Seattle became a baseball town:<\/strong>  Yes, the wait is finally over, as the 3-year rebuild of your Seattle Mariners is almost completed, as the club re-entered the playoffs last season.  And many national pundits are predicting the next five years will be the best in this club\u2019s history.  Baseball has always been about pitching and defense, and your Seattle Mariners are currently the best in the business in those two critical areas.  Having completely re-built the club three years ago, the new Mariner franchise is now built on a foundation of five world class starters, and a dugout full of young, fire balling relievers.  Kids that can regularly throw the ball 100 mph+.  Not just one pitcher, but several of them.  And defensively these guys don\u2019t let anything get past them.  Pitching and defense, the core of the Seattle Mariners future success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The turnaround actually began last season, as\u00a0The Sporting News<\/a><\/em>\u00a0rated the M\u2019s farm teams as \u2018the best in baseball\u2019.\u00a0\u00a0 A team loaded with bright young talent, let by the MLB Rookie of the Year and young phenom, Julio Rodriguez.\u00a0 And over a half dozen of the top fifty players in the MLB minor leagues. \u00a0Literally over-night Julio, at the age of 20, has become the national face of MLB.\u00a0 And while it took Ken Griffey 2-3 years to accomplish this goal, Julio did it in 4 months, culminating in the richest baseball contract in MLB history a 15-years deal valued at a potential $470 million.<\/p>\n\n\n

Remember these names, as they are about to become synonymous with winning baseball in the Pacific NW.  And their baseball cards about to explode in value\u2026Cal Raleigh (C), Ty France (1st<\/sup>), Kolton Wong (2nd<\/sup>), JP Crawford (SS), Eugenio Suarez (3rd<\/sup>), Julio Rodriguez (CF)l Jarrod Kelenic (LF), Teoscar Henandez (RF), Tom Murphy (DH), and Cy Young quality pitchers Louis Castillo, Logan Gilbert, Robbie Ray, Marco Gonzales and Chris Flexen.  With many more young players literally on the verge of stardom   Evan White, Sam Hagerty, Matt Brash, George Kirby and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The real beauty of the 2023 Mariners is that the players have 4-5 more years before they become free agents.  In other words, the team controls the players for years to come, and the fans can fall in love with these kids, without fear of them moving on to another team.  And more and more, like young Rodriguez, the team is extending their contract beyond the 5 year mark.  Current Mariner ownership is rock solid under Chairman John Stanton, President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto and President of Business Operations Catie Griggs.  The team also operates numerous minor league clubs including AAA<\/strong> Tacoma Rainiers, AA<\/strong> Arkansas Travelers, A<\/strong> Modesto Nuts, R<\/strong> Peoria Mariners, R<\/strong> Dominican Republic Mariners and the R <\/strong>Everett AquaSox.  In addition to the big league 40-man roster the M\u2019s employee approximately 150-200 ballplayers across the entire organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
